Herrliche sehenswerte kleine Barockkirche am Bogenhausener Kirchplatz mit einer wunderschönen Skulptur des Hl.Georg von Ignaz Straub aus dem Jahr 1770 am Hochaltar. Er führe die Gläubigen zu Gott. Ausgestattet mit schönen Fresken an Wänden und Decken. Umgeben vom Bogenhausener Friedhof und zugänglich über die Steinbacherstrasse. Mit Tram und Bus erreichbar bei der Haltestelle Baumkirchnerstrasse. Meist ist nur der Haupteingang des Friedhofs geöffnet, die Kirche ist offen, aber außer den Gottesdiensten innen mit einem Gitter gesichert. Außerhalb des Friedhofs erinnert ein Denkmal an den Jesuiten Alfred Delp.

located on the right bank of the isar and the famous cemetry in the yard is well known for german artists. A big part of the building was not damaged during ww2 and kept its original baroque architecture since 1700'. The interior is similar to most of Munich churches and located in a very quite street with a small lake nearby.

Schöne und gut erhaltene Kirche im Zentrum von Bogenhausen am Bogenhausener Dorfplatz. Angeschlossen ein idyllischer kleiner Friedhof. Die gut erhaltene Kirche ist auch im Inneren sehr sehenswert und lädt zum Verweilen ein.

Very beautiful and calm during the week. Partially crowded on sunny warm weekends. Inside amazing historic and interesting, the cementary is small but there are exceptional head stones and crosses and marvelous flowers on many graves. You find very popular names of at least 10 local celebrities (Helmut Fischer, Lisel Karlstadt, Erich Kästner, Walter Sedlmayr, ..) and even worldwide known names like Bernd Eichinger.

St. Georg ist eine kleine hübsche Kirche in München Bogenhausen. Viele geschmiedete Grabkreuze stehen auf dem kleinen Friedhof an der Kirche. Der Altarraum ist durch ein Gitter geschützt. Die Kirche wurde mehrmals renoviert.

wunderschöner, kleiner und ruhig gelegener friedhof. alle gräber sind anmutend schön gepflegt. frische blumen in allen möglichen farben zieren die anlage. diverse bekannte personen, wie helmut fischer und seine frau, die familie sedlmayr, bernd eichinger, helmut dietl, wie auch erich kästner fanden hier ihre letzte ruhe. ein ruhiger und andächtiger besuch hier ist sehr zu empfehlen.

Auf dem Friedhof , der hinter der Kirche St.Georg liegt, haben einige bekannte Persönlichkeiten wie z.B. Helmut Fischer (der ewige Stenz), Rainer Werner Fassbinder, Walter Sedlmayr oder das Münchner Original Liesl Karlstadt ihre letzte Ruhestätte gefunden.
