München is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. German addresses put the street name before the house number, followed by the five-digit postcode and the town, as in "Marienplatz 8, 80331 München". The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

The Church of San Giovanni Battista is striking for its majestic, austere and elegant architecture. A striking and evocative sight far from the city center, it's definitely worth admiring at least from the outside.

One of the iconic superb churches on the Isar river. the gothic architecture is a mark and the west tower of 97m is decorated with statues and a clock. it is the 3rd highest church in Munich. construction started in 1840 and completed in 1870, destroyed during ww2 and renovated after the war. The 6 bells in the tower rings every day on 12 noon and every friday on 3.00 pm in Memory of Jesus Christ's death hour on the cross. The interior is magnificent and similar to most of the gothic churches in Munich.
