I went there yesterday with an open mind, it's incredible organised, there's was so much information, and the lectures are so enthusiastic to show and give as much information on the subject. Excellent staff. Thank you

Where to begin? Our Monday night English tour was amazing thanks to Dr. loannis. It's such a pleasure to listen to people who are passionate about what they do. The "Little Planetarium" is the cosiest, most magical place. Even though the weather decided to gatekeep the telescope views, the evening was still a total win. The real payoff though was waiting for me the next day. After so many years of only seeing the Ursa Major, imagine my utter joy when I looked up today and saw Jupiter! And then Orion and his belt and sword and rigel and Beetlejuice. And then also Sirius, and Gemini and Procyon. and I think it's just the beginning. Thank you 💜

We visited the Munich Public Observatory for the first time with #Bigfoot and #Littlefeet. We attended an evening event—a lecture titled “The Spring Sky of 2026.” The lecture lasted a little over an hour and was both fascinating and entertaining. The occasion was the transition of the starry sky from winter to spring. Afterward, we were able to look through the various telescopes again up on the roof and observe Jupiter along with Castor and Pollux. Overall, it was a truly interesting experience. Directions: Please walk or drive through the large archway from Anzingerstrasse near Qualcomm. Park your car or bike there, follow the signs through the other archway, and immediately turn left, where you’ll come to a construction site with an elevator that takes you up to the public observatory. Thanks to everyone, and especially to Bernhard Buchner for the lecture! By the way: the prices are absolutely reasonable, and you can’t go wrong by donating a little money. We highly recommend this place!

I was for vacation in Munich a few weeks ago and I have to say that it is worth visiting the Observatory. We had a spectacular tour by an astrophysicist who gave a lecture in English language. High level of cognitive information combined with a gret sense of humor, this made our evening magical. Also great for people who are not directly related to the object. If you are lucky enough and the sky is clear, you will be able to see the mystics of the Universe through giant telescopes on the roof ✨️

We went there last Sunday during a kids and family event, they had a promotion in the big ground with other organisations. The ladies there seemed nice therefore we decided to go for a visit at the main building. My 3 little kids and I first passed thru the “canteen” where we saw the staffs were eating. So we kept walking till we saw the entrance, which was totally opened. Inside got some merchandise, we kept walking then we saw the male staff (grey hair, around 55yo, with glasses) were educating some small kids, so we just walked out, didn’t want to bother. My daughter was just looking at some rocks, and had a touch. The man came right after us and shouted to her “FINGER WEG FINGER WEG!!! Go out now and it’s not opened”. The he SHUTED the entrance door right at our faces. Super super rude!!!! We were shocked to be yelled at like this and his behaviour was totally not acceptable. His unprofessional manner made us never return and it is very not recommend to visit, no one wants to be treated like this, isn’t it ? Edited on 9th Oct 2025 as below During the Juki Festival, the staffs at the booth mentioned that the centre is only like 5 mins away and we could go there for a look. NEV
