München is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. German addresses put the street name before the house number, followed by the five-digit postcode and the town, as in "Marienplatz 8, 80331 München". The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Came across this near the entrance to the English Gardens and spent around 20 minutes here. The atmosphere is fantastic and it was great fun watching the various surfers trying to stay on their surf boards. Highly recommend stopping here a fantastic and unusual city centre attraction.

The Eisbachwelle is one of Munich’s most unique attractions and definitely worth seeing. Watching surfers ride a standing wave right in the middle of the city is something you don’t get to experience every day. It’s fascinating to watch, even if you’re not into surfing, and there’s always a great atmosphere with people stopping to enjoy the spectacle. It’s a perfect place to spend a few minutes while exploring the English Garden and one of those spots that makes Munich feel special.

Surfing in the middle of a city, now who wouldn’t want to see that. The guys at Surf Club München are also pretty cool. Say hello if you see them. The river is pretty cool to do a down stream swim and then you get out on the rope just before the second wave which is a more mellow but a bit tricky to get into the wave with the fences. Chat to a local if you want to try one of these spots.

The Eisbach Wave is a really cool spot and definitely worth checking out while you’re in Munich. It’s fascinating to watch the surfers ride the wave right in the middle of the city. I could have stood there for ages just watching them. The atmosphere is unique, and it’s a great place to stop for a few minutes while exploring the English Garden. Highly recommended!

Eisbachwelle is truly impressive. It’s a small stream flowing right through the heart of the city where people can enjoy surfing in a fun and unique way. Although it’s just a small spot and not very wide, it offers a great experience and is definitely worth watching. It’s a memorable highlight in the city, even if it’s only a small corner.
