München is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. Getting around München is easiest by U-Bahn, S-Bahn, tram and bus, all covered by the Deutschlandticket that is valid on local and regional transport across Bayern and beyond; parking in city centres is scarce and either paid or limited by Parkscheibe, so public transport or a bike is usually quicker than driving.

Amazing location, clean and comfortable rooms. It was really quiet, which we liked. The breakfast add-on we thought was very expensive, so we did not have breakfast. But other than that, we would love to come back if we have the chance.

Excellent stay at Steigenberger München. The breakfast buffet was outstanding and gave the perfect motivation before heading to Zugspitze. The spa area was also on point — exactly what was needed to relax after a long day. Service was smooth and professional from check-in to check-out. Special thanks to Amine and the team at the bar for the attentive service and relaxed evening atmosphere. A very comfortable and well-rounded experience overall.

Pros/ 1- The staff were really friendly, and did for me a free upgrade. 2- They do have private parking (29 euro per day). Cons/ 1- The house keeping, didn’t tide up the blanket!! That was so weird, how come that you come back to you room after the house keeping cleaned up your room and you find your bed didn’t tide up!! 2- The other thing they are a bit skimp, just 1 water, 1 empty glass, 1 tissue !! — After the hotel answer Dear Steigenberger München Team, Thank you for your response regarding my Google review. Please find the attached screenshot/reference for clarification. I would like to clarify the following points regarding your reply: 1. I am aware that my room was entered and cleaned daily. My concern was specifically that the bed itself was not properly arranged or made. I honestly have no reason or benefit in making false claims. If housekeeping staff were asked whether they cleaned the room, of course they would say yes — and perhaps this may simply be an attempt to avoid accountability. 2. Your response also mentioned that these issues were not reported during my stay, which is not correct. I clearly informed the reception staff about all of the issues before p
