About BEYOND by Geisel

Located at Marienplatz 22, 80331 München-Altstadt-Lehel, BEYOND by Geisel operates as a hotel serving München in Bayern. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.

When booking accommodation or travel services in Germany, confirm the check-in window, whether the rate includes breakfast and the local city tax (Kurtaxe or Bettensteuer), and what the cancellation terms are; pensions and Gasthöfe are often family-run and appreciate notice. Reviews that mention noise, bed size, Wi-Fi and cleanliness are usually the most useful. Prices jump around trade fairs, the Christmas markets, Oktoberfest and the summer school holidays, so book early for those dates.

No opening hours are on file. If you plan a visit, phone first or check the Google Maps link on this page for the latest times, and remember that most shops in Germany close on Sundays and public holidays. The listed phone number is 089 700746700. Calling ahead is the norm in Germany for reservations and for confirming that a small business is open that day; e-mail or WhatsApp is the common alternative if you would rather write than speak. Its website is geisel-privathotels.de, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

Customers rate it 4.8 out of 5 on Google across 375 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded hotels in München.

München is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. German addresses put the street name before the house number, followed by the five-digit postcode and the town, as in "Marienplatz 8, 80331 München". The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

We stayed at Beyond by Geisel for two nights during a short trip to Munich. The hotel stands out for its excellent location: from our room, we had a direct view of Marienplatz. The interior is modern, stylish, and at the same time pleasantly calm and relaxing. With only 19 rooms, the hotel has a very personal atmosphere, without any sense of rush or bustle. We particularly enjoyed the contrast: from the quiet room, you pass through the beautiful lobby, take the lift, step outside, and find yourself immediately in the lively crowds of Marienplatz. Returning to the hotel, the calmness instantly returns. This made it very easy for us to relax during our stay. The staff were attentive and helpful. In addition to the room, breakfast was a real highlight. Although there are no traditional breakfast tables and space for the many small dishes is somewhat limited, we thoroughly enjoyed the offering. Overall, we feel that both the price and the Michelin Key are justified. However, we would also like to mention a few points that could have made our stay even better. Upon arrival and during check-in, we occasionally had the impression that our arrival came as a slight surprise. The introd

I stayed at this hotel with my family during my trip to Munich. It is in a building that is directly in front of the Marienplatz and city hall- with spectacular views of the main building and the bustling crowd underneath. The hotel is very clean, friendly, and organized in a sleek minimal style. The staff is very kind and helpful, with an exceptional staff member Corina, who assisted us and treated us kindly here. But generally they are all kind and helpful and respond quickly in case of any services needed. The rooms are not big per se but they’re cozy and have comfortable beds. I’d just like to mention as a heads up that most of the rooms have an open shower and sink into the room without a dedicated bathroom- but the suite has an enclosed private bathroom. The breakfast is also served in a small area that feels very cozy. I highly recommend visiting this hotel during your stay in Munich and I will definitely come again!
