München is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. For directions in München, Google Maps and the DB Navigator app cover public transport times and walking routes, and most towns have well-marked cycle lanes. Local transport tickets must be bought or validated before boarding, and parking near busy streets is limited and metered.

This is a true find. Beautiful hotel, lovely modern amenities, great breakfast, terrific location, and a reasonable price. We ended up staying here for an entire month (!) and it was always pleasant and accommodating. By far the best place I've stayed in Munich (and I've stayed at a lot of places.)

Fantastic experience. All of the staff where great and our Night Manager, Gerard, was above and beyond. The location was perfect for public transportation and I Highly, HIGHLY recommend the Greek Restaurant right around the corner. All types of food are available with a block or two and we even found a Laundromat within 3 blocks within a very bustling intersection with a large social gathering.

This hotel is more like a hostel. This was by far the worst hotel we have stayed in during our month long trip around Europe. The room is extremely hot, the aircon basically doesn’t work. We stayed during cooler weather, I can’t imagine how bad it would be on hot days. The pillows are literally so bad we considered booking another hotel during our time in Munich - they gave us bad neck pain (we are a young couple). I see reviews from over three years ago mentioning how bad the pillows are but the hotel seems to ignore feedback. The walls in the hotel are so thin they shake when neighbouring rooms close their doors. There is also no soundproofing, so be prepared to wake up very early or throughout the night. Additionally, the room has no mini bar/fridge and was very sparse in general. The whole place gave hostel vibes, not a four star hotel. I wouldn’t stay here again and I wouldn’t recommend staying here, there are definitely better options.

This hotel is really cool and well-designed. An arty-Scandinavian vibe. Rooms were extremely comfortable and well laid out with great natural light from the windows. Great use of space with hooks and shelves for guests to keep their things. Nice wood floors. A nespresso machine and mini fridge would’ve been nice. Sauna and fitness area were great. Love the edgy and surrealist modern art lining the lobby walls. The staff were very helpful and accommodating. This is also a great neighborhood- lots of cool restaurants and coffee shops and right near the English Gardens. Will not hesitate to stay here if I ever return to Munich.
