When booking accommodation or travel services in Germany, confirm the check-in window, whether the rate includes breakfast and the local city tax (Kurtaxe or Bettensteuer), and what the cancellation terms are; pensions and Gasthöfe are often family-run and appreciate notice. München is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. For directions in München, Google Maps and the DB Navigator app cover public transport times and walking routes, and most towns have well-marked cycle lanes. Local transport tickets must be bought or validated before boarding, and parking near busy streets is limited and metered.

Lovely hotel with great staff. Good breakfast and it's really good to have properly made coffee in the mornings. It's about a 20 minute walk from the centre (Marienplatz etc) and a 10 minute walk to the Hauptbahnhof. The only thing that's odd is the bathroom situation. The toilet and shower have glass doors and aren't soundproof.

I had a lovely experience at the Ruby Lilly Hotel, even though I only visited the bar. The atmosphere was beautiful and relaxed, and it was a great place to spend the evening. What really stood out was the exceptional service from Palm. She was incredibly kind, professional, and genuinely helpful. When it was time for me to head home, she went out of her way to assist me in getting a taxi, which I truly appreciated. Thank you, Palm, for your outstanding hospitality. Small gestures like yours make a lasting impression. I would happily recommend the Ruby Lilly Hotel and would definitely visit again.

Fantastic stay at the Ruby Lilly! The location is absolutely excellent and incredibly convenient. The staff here are wonderful—especially Joanna at the bar, who was so welcoming and helpful. As for the room, it is very comfortable, spacious, and features a beautiful, modern interior design. The hotel bar itself is fantastic—it’s spacious and clearly very popular with hotel guests and neighborhood people alike, which gives the place a great energy. Highly recommend staying here if you're visiting Munich!
