München is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. Getting around München is easiest by U-Bahn, S-Bahn, tram and bus, all covered by the Deutschlandticket that is valid on local and regional transport across Bayern and beyond; parking in city centres is scarce and either paid or limited by Parkscheibe, so public transport or a bike is usually quicker than driving.

Room in pretty rough shape. WiFi not functional. Nothing noteworthy in vicinity. Would not recommend unless you’re on a very tight budget. To ask reception a basic question on the phone you first talk to their AI, who connects you to a generic customer service rep, who then connects you with the desk.

Seems like good value for money and on the surface it's all clean and fine. Below the surface though, there's a lot of smaller things that bothered me. Above all, my bed was completely worn out and I ended up with back pain after two nights which I usually never have. So I wouldn't go back.

Overall a nice place for its price, the room was clean enough but had some issues but nothing extraordinary. The breakfast was great. The tram and buses stop right next to the hotel so it is very easy to get there via public transport.

I had a very disappointing check-in experience at this Premier Inn location on March 16 at around 18:20. During the registration process, a young male receptionist refused to handle my passport and asked me to hold it up in front of him while he manually entered the details. He stated that “under German law he is not allowed to touch the guest’s passport”. This explanation was surprising and inconsistent with my previous experiences in numerous hotels across Germany, including several other Premier Inn locations. In all those cases, staff either scanned the document or handled the registration in a standard professional manner. This unusual procedure made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome as an international guest. Unfortunately, the experience did not improve afterwards. The key card issued to me did not work for the lift, which required me to return to reception and wait again for assistance. When I approached another female receptionist, the interaction felt noticeably cold and dismissive. She did not acknowledge the inconvenience, and communication was difficult. After a more senior colleague resolved the issue, the card was handed back to me by her without any apology or
