About MUCA - Museum of Urban and Contemporary Art

Das MUCA ist Deutschlands erstes Museum für Urban Art und besticht durch hochkarätige Ausstellungen renommierter Künstler*innen der Urban Fine Art. Im Haupthaus sowie im angrenzenden Kunstbunker entdecken Besucher wechselnde Kunstausstellungen. Ab dem 08. Mai ist im MUCA Bunker sowie im MUCA Haupthaus die Solo-Ausstellung „The Future is Stupid“ des britischen Künstlers Antony Micallef zu sehen.Zudem befindet sich im Untergeschoss die Dauerausstellung „Unveiling“ mit Highlight-Werken der MUCA Sammlung sowie die „MUCA Digital Area“ in der sich Besucher an einer digitalen Graffiti Wand als Künstler interaktiv ausprobieren können. Das MUCA gilt als besonderer Geheimtipp für Kunstfans und zählt zu einem der außergewöhnlichsten Museen in München.

Definitely a thought-provoking exhibit. If you have time and you love Art come by and see it if you love modern art and art that is there to evoke change.

Well this place needs to be on the top of X your list whether you are a first timer to Munich or an old hand. It is well curated exhibition of works, comprehensive in theme and media. I loved the dynamism of the whole environment battling with the typically German desire for neat and tidy. An enjoyable experience and a certain surprise

Very cool space, exposition is not too big, just enough for 1-1.5 hours visit. We went on Sunday afternoon, no waiting time, bought the tickets on the spot and enjoyed the exhibition of Damian Hurst. If you enjoy contemporary art, don't miss this exhibition it is on till the end of 2024.

I was pleasantly surprised by how much I loved this museum. It's a wonderful collection of powerful, thought-provoking pieces. I wasn't expecting how moved I would be by the art here. What an amazing Shepard Fairey collection! I wasn't very familiar with him before, but after a visit to this museum, I am a big fan. Highly recommended. Small collection of exquisite pieces. All signs are in German and English. ❤️ Recommended!
