München is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. For directions in München, Google Maps and the DB Navigator app cover public transport times and walking routes, and most towns have well-marked cycle lanes. Local transport tickets must be bought or validated before boarding, and parking near busy streets is limited and metered.

We’re lucky to see the “BMW Art Cars — 20 Artists, 50 Years of Innovation” during our visit. This is the first time all 20 BMW Art Cars have been brought together here. It celebrates the 50th anniversary of the BMW Art Car Collection, which began in 1975 with artist Alexander Calder. It is not just another collection of BMW models—it combines automotive design, contemporary art and BMW history, and this particular gathering of all 20 cars is a one-off event. The visit is free and no booking required.

The BMW Museum is a must-visit if you’re in Munich. The building itself is impressive, and inside you can walk through the history of BMW, from its early motorcycles and classic cars to its latest models. One of the highlights for me was seeing Elvis Presley’s BMW, along with many other iconic vehicles. Plan to spend at least half a day here, as there’s a lot to see and quite a bit of walking. The exhibits are well presented, the history is fascinating, and there are plenty of interactive displays that kids will enjoy too. Whether you’re a car enthusiast or just curious about the brand, it’s well worth the visit.

Best place to visit if you love BMW! You don’t have to pay, it’s free. If you want to make picture come early, it can be very crowd. You can buy sandwiches, drinks, salats, sweets and some hot snacks. Cashmachine, toilets, lockers and a beautiful shop.

As a huge car enthusiast, I was truly amazed by BMW Welt. The technology inside was incredible. As soon as I entered, I was welcomed by a stunning turquoise BMW M2. After that, I saw another M2, an M4, a 7 Series, the new iX3, and many other BMW models. I had the opportunity to take a close look at all of the cars, although unfortunately every vehicle was locked, which was probably the only downside of my visit. The colors of the cars were beautifully chosen, and I really enjoyed examining them closely and taking lots of photos. There was also a café and a very large BMW Shop. However, most of the products in the shop were quite expensive. As I continued exploring, I also got to see the new BMW iX3. On the upper floor, there was an area dedicated to BMW motorcycles. Since I’m much more interested in cars, I decided not to spend much time upstairs. One of the most memorable experiences was the interactive technology area inside BMW Welt. There was a tablet where you could take a photo of yourself, and it would appear on a huge screen in the center of the building. I tried it myself, but unfortunately I couldn’t download the video to share it. Overall, I would give BMW Welt a 5

Such a neat little BMW snippet near the Olympic Park. The automated coffee/drinks, the cars, the interactive displays were all just right. The cars of course, were impressive. The full museum is probably fantastic but if you are short on time and want to just pop in this is perfect. We were early in the morning (around 9:00) and there were very few people. It was perfect.
