About Memorium Nürnberger Prozesse
Im Schwurgerichtssaal des Nürnberger Justizpalastes wurde Weltgeschichte geschrieben. Vom 20.

Nürnberg is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. For directions in Nürnberg, Google Maps and the DB Navigator app cover public transport times and walking routes, and most towns have well-marked cycle lanes. Local transport tickets must be bought or validated before boarding, and parking near busy streets is limited and metered.

Housed in the iconic Palace of Justice, this museum is deeply moving and historically powerful. Nuremberg was chosen for the trials because it had an intact courthouse, a large prison, and was in the American zone. Most importantly, it had a strong symbolic meaning: because it was where Nazi rallies and racist laws began, it was the exact place where the regime had to face justice. Unfortunately, Courtroom 600 was closed on the day of my visit, but the permanent exhibition on the trials and international law was still an essential and unforgettable experience.

I was impressed by this place of historical importance. I was surprised by the size of the courtroom as I thought it was much bigger. Interesting exhibition. It is well reachable by public transport: few minutes from station Bärenschanze.

If an English speaker, get ready to listen! The audio guide is excellent and you won’t miss anything. There is some seating to rest and take in the information. This museum provides a well rounded, grounded look at the Nuremberg trials and portrays so much more detail beyond the what is commonly known. Visiting the courtroom itself feels surreal and sobering, especially after having seen the movie portrayal of this time.

Historically rich place which tells you the happenings of the nuremberg trials post world war 2. Recommended to take the audio guide for non german speakers as the entire exhibition is german only from what I see. Expected to spend more time here but because all the exhibition was in german I wasn’t able to fully immerse myself in the entire trial process (unfortunately). Hopefully they could include the english translations in future!

Visited 2nd time after 2022, now with my son. Extremely important historical place, good explanation, be ready to download the app to translation. It's very slow audio. All collection is in German now (changed). Added new section about ICC, I believe it's a good attachment for public deep understanding. Video presentation in the Hall 600 is interesting. Recommended.
