München is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. Getting around München is easiest by U-Bahn, S-Bahn, tram and bus, all covered by the Deutschlandticket that is valid on local and regional transport across Bayern and beyond; parking in city centres is scarce and either paid or limited by Parkscheibe, so public transport or a bike is usually quicker than driving.

Magic Bavaria is a fantastic and very creative experience. The exhibition combines Bavarian themes with playful installations, illusions and interactive photo spots. Every room feels different and invites you to explore and take fun photos. One of my highlights was the giant ball pool inspired by an alpine lake – jumping into thousands of turquoise balls surrounded by glowing “mountains” was unexpectedly fun. The mirrored rooms and the upside-down König Ludwig room are also brilliant and make for great pictures. What I liked most is that it works for everyone – adults, friends, couples and families. It’s playful, visually impressive and full of little surprises. If you enjoy interactive exhibitions and unique photo locations, Magic Bavaria is definitely worth visiting. A great mix of creativity, Bavarian culture and pure fun.

We visited the museum. I saw a lot of ads about this place. It's worth a visit if you have children, but in my opinion, the price is too high

Such a fun little gem of a place ✨ It’s not huge — actually, it’s pretty small — but that’s part of the charm. Every corner is filled with lights, reflections, and this playful, magical energy that makes you feel like you’ve stepped into another world. The mirror rooms and glowing installations create so many cool photo moments, but beyond that, it’s just genuinely joyful. You can laugh, explore, take your time, and enjoy the experience without feeling overwhelmed. Perfect for a cute outing, especially with kids or friends. Small space, big smiles. Definitely recommend 💜

Magic Bavaria is a fun place to visit, especially with kids, and it has some creative and colorful installations that are nice for photos. The concept is entertaining, and you can spend some enjoyable time exploring. On the downside, the space felt smaller than expected, and the ticket price seemed a bit high for what you actually get. After a short while, you’ve already seen most of it. Overall, it’s a decent experience if you’re looking for something different to do once, but not necessarily a place I’d visit again.

The museum is ok, it is small but with some good attractions, I think all the attractions should have a photo boot for solo visits or group visits only 3 of all the attractions have the photo boot and I saw people struggling to take grupal pictures and single users too. If they had more photo boots will be amazing and no matter the party size will be more enjoyable. But overall it is a good weekend attraction for families and couples. Also I expected more optical illusions that blew my mind but I didn't found any. 😅 The photos at the end the ones you take with the photo boots can be purchased for a digital copy sent to your email or also print them there, that's a nice touch.
