München is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. German addresses put the street name before the house number, followed by the five-digit postcode and the town, as in "Marienplatz 8, 80331 München". The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Way too expensive for what you actually get Honestly, I expected a lot more from this hotel, especially given the price tag and how nice it looked online. Unfortunately, the quality didn't come close to what was promised. Between the broken amenities and general lack of upkeep, it was a pretty frustrating stay. What went wrong: The built in air conditioning didn't work, even though we paid extra for it. To make matters worse, the window blinds were broken, so the room was way too bright in the morning and disturbed my sleep. The sink clogged easily, and the shower is designed so terribly that water spills right out onto the bedroom floor every time you use it. The toilet is not in a room with a sink so you need to walk out and wash hands 4 meters away. There was chipped paint all over the place, making the room look neglected. For the price they charge, guests should expect a room that is well kept, comfortable, and actually works. This place misses the mark completely. I'm posting this to warn other travelers and to push management to fix these issues. It’s not the receptionists fault that the rooms are not kept properly. I wouldn't recommend staying here until they get thei

I should start by saying, we are American and from the south where AC is life haha. It was low 70’s (F) when we stayed and only the top floor has AC. They rest get a ‘swamp cooler’ and/or a fan delivered to your room on request. This cooled us a bit, but it was pretty toasty even with it only being in the 70’s. The staff was wonderful and the beds were comfortable! It was very clean and we loved the records. The whole hotel is a total vibe! It was a good set up for us and our 2 kids. While there is no separate wall for the shower, we had no issues with privacy. The curtain separated the main bedroom area and the shower. The water closet had a door, so all was good there. Breakfast was fine, nothing too out of the ordinary. The location wasn’t as convenient. It is near a few subway entrances and you will have to take those to get to any of the scenic stops.

I’ve stayed at Jams several times over the last few years for business, and it never disappoints. The rooms are incredibly cozy and the staff is consistently friendly. On my last trip, I had to book an extra night last minute; the team kindly upgraded my room so I wouldn’t have to move—a gesture I truly appreciated. The breakfast is a standout: it’s very varied, with delicious pastries and a chef who makes fresh omelettes to order. Also, don't skip the bar! The cocktails are great, and the burgers are huge and honestly some of the best I’ve ever had. Jams is definitely my go-to for my business trips.
