I have almost always left positive reviews and rarely write negative ones. However, this time I feel it is important to share my experience. Last night, a colleague and I arrived at the Ibis hotel very late, around 12:30 a.m., almost 1:00 a.m. My colleague went to the reception desk to ask whether there was space available in the hotel parking garage. The receptionist, whom I believe was called Mr. Rodriguez (a Black gentleman with a distinctive hairstyle and a moustache), told us that there was availability and opened the parking gate. We drove our van down the access ramp, but just as we were about to enter, the gate suddenly closed in front of us. Since we could not get out of the van, my colleague called the reception. The same receptionist told us that if the gate had closed, it meant the parking garage was full. We were then forced to reverse our van back up a very narrow ramp, which was quite difficult. After getting out, my colleague went back inside to ask where we could park. His only response was that we should park on the street. When she asked whether there was any risk of receiving a parking ticket, he replied, in a very rude manner, that he knew absolutely nothing

Location is fine, good access to public transportation, yet staff and service are attrocious. The hotel is right next to an 8 lane inner city motorway (think German Autobahn), thus it is quite noisy. Staff bullied a female guest during breakfast, claiming her breakfast was not included in her booking asking her to pay ASAP or provide a printout (!) as proof, while she had breakfast. Thus be prepared to bring printouts even if you book online. Discretion is not their forte and accurate handling of bookings neither. Staff at the reception is highly skilled in not being available for questions and excels at swiping on their private cellphones.

We stayed in a room that was quite good overall and comfortable. However, we are very disappointed with how the staff handled a situation during our stay. A product that was a gift to us went missing from our room. At first, the staff assumed that no one had entered to clean the room. However, after the first day of our stay, the room was perfectly cleaned. Later, they checked their records and confirmed that housekeeping had indeed entered and cleaned the room. It seems that the item was probably thrown away unintentionally, without proper attention to what was being discarded. After some insistence from our side, we were told to contact the hotel via email, which we find unacceptable under the circumstances. The reception staff did try to help us, but they were limited to following the instructions they were given. The item may not have had significant monetary value, but it was still our personal belonging and it has been lost. We expected a more responsible and professional handling of the situation.
