Hello from Munich Germany. If you are looking for a place to stay for the night in Munich, I recommend “Hotel am Viktualienmarkt”. It is located in the center of a very communicative place and at this time quite quiet. The rooms are very clean. The bathroom is very hygienic. The breakfast is decent. The price is quite good. The service is also very good. I recommend it to you. Greetings!

DISCLOSURE: I only spent 90 minutes at this hotel. I cannot fairly judge the hotel, but my impression was so poor from the moment I stepped out of the elevator that I can only extrapolate that experience over the five day stay that I had originally booked and paid for. Their policy was to charge me for the whole stay, which is fair but unfortunate, and it entitles me to leave an unfavorable review. Maybe they have nice rooms. I didn’t see one. I only saw the lobby, which was fine, the elevator, which is the size of a coffin, the hallway, which was narrow, dimly lit, and ugly, and my room, which was a large closet. It’s my fault for booking double for single occupancy. If you are thinking about booking such a room, be aware that it is the size of a large closet, with all of the charm that this entails. I have rarely been so underwhelmed when entering a hotel room. I stayed in a hotel room like this in London before, and my heart sunk when I walked into this room. It’s this hotel’s bad luck that I have such a reaction to rooms like these, but that’s life. If the internet had worked, it would have only delayed my decision to move to a different hotel. We stayed here last minute (booked same day) after a bad experience meant we needed to leave our other accommodation. Location is lovely on a quiet street close to all the main sights. Was a bit pricey for a fairly basic 3* hotel, but I think that’s because Munich is expensive (and the Easter weekend). Breakfast was good, nice fresh bread. Staff were friendly.
