About Hotel Am Moosfeld

Located at Am Moosfeld 31, 81829 München, Hotel Am Moosfeld operates as a hotel serving München in Bayern. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.

When booking accommodation or travel services in Germany, confirm the check-in window, whether the rate includes breakfast and the local city tax (Kurtaxe or Bettensteuer), and what the cancellation terms are; pensions and Gasthöfe are often family-run and appreciate notice. Reviews that mention noise, bed size, Wi-Fi and cleanliness are usually the most useful. Prices jump around trade fairs, the Christmas markets, Oktoberfest and the summer school holidays, so book early for those dates.

No opening hours are on file. If you plan a visit, phone first or check the Google Maps link on this page for the latest times, and remember that most shops in Germany close on Sundays and public holidays. The listed phone number is 089 429190. Calling ahead is the norm in Germany for reservations and for confirming that a small business is open that day; e-mail or WhatsApp is the common alternative if you would rather write than speak. More information is available on its website, hotel-am-moosfeld.de.

On Google it holds a rating of 4.4 out of 5 from 2,105 reviews, which is a strong result for a hotel in München and suggests consistent service.

München is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. Getting around München is easiest by U-Bahn, S-Bahn, tram and bus, all covered by the Deutschlandticket that is valid on local and regional transport across Bayern and beyond; parking in city centres is scarce and either paid or limited by Parkscheibe, so public transport or a bike is usually quicker than driving.

We stayed at Hotel Am Moosfeld and had a very pleasant experience. The front desk staff were helpful and quick, and the hotel also offers a convenient self-check-in machine at reception, which makes the arrival process even easier. The rooms were comfortable and had some nice amenities. One thing we really appreciated was the daily housekeeping. Having the room cleaned every day truly adds to the comfort and gives you that proper hotel experience. The breakfast was excellent, with a great variety of food for different age groups and dietary preferences. There were also plenty of staff members keeping the tables clean and making sure everything was well organized. Overall, we had a great experience staying at Hotel Am Moosfeld. The combination of comfortable rooms, excellent breakfast, helpful staff, and daily housekeeping made our stay very enjoyable. Highly recommended!

We stayed at Hotel Am Moosfeld during our trip to Munich. The hotel is around a 20-minute drive from the city center. There is a larger older hotel building and two guesthouses with around 30 rooms each. The guesthouses are more modernly furnished. The hotel has a large indoor pool, located on the lower level, which is open until 11 PM. There are only a few lounge chairs available, but there is also a small gym and sauna. Free water with syrup flavors is provided from a dispenser, which was a nice touch. The breakfast buffet is rather small, but it includes the usual options. Sometimes there were waiting times for tables. One thing we noticed was that the breakfast staff could be a bit loud at times, though with a little more attention it would improve the atmosphere. The hotel is family-friendly, the reception is open 24 hours and the staff was friendly. The bathrooms felt a bit old-fashioned. The hotel itself does not have many private parking spaces, but there are usually free public parking spots nearby. However, if you arrive late, those can already be full and you may need to park closer to the main road.

Rooms are alright. In line with the hotel rating. Breakfast buffet was great. Getting to/fro the hotel using public transportation is good during the week... ok-ish on weekends. I didn't use the pool/other areas. Cannot say anything about that.
