München is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. German addresses put the street name before the house number, followed by the five-digit postcode and the town, as in "Marienplatz 8, 80331 München". The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Haus der Kunst is a beautiful museum with impressive architecture and great exhibition spaces. I also loved the museum shop, with its wonderful selection of books and products. Even after seeing the exhibitions, it’s worth coming back for the café. The interior is very stylish, and the outdoor seating is especially lovely — I really enjoyed having coffee and spending time there. It’s also right next to the famous Eisbach wave, so you can easily stop by and watch the surfers too!

Tomás Saraceno exhibit is great but there’s no info at all on where to find what. No signage. Lady at ticket counter grumpy as hell. Asked where the lockers were and she didn’t look at me while replying and COULD have told me the lockers take ONLY 1€ coins BUT DIDNT so I had to walk back to ask for change which was yet another distaster for her - customers are all so inconvenient !! Welcome to Munich

I had a good time there visiting Tomás Saraceno exhibition. It is a very much contemporary exhibit with a lot of very large displays. It has a theme related to environment and I particularly like the part of large spider web display trying to tell people to think how nature works. Besides the museum, you can watch people surfing on Eisbach which is a must-see.
