München is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. Getting around München is easiest by U-Bahn, S-Bahn, tram and bus, all covered by the Deutschlandticket that is valid on local and regional transport across Bayern and beyond; parking in city centres is scarce and either paid or limited by Parkscheibe, so public transport or a bike is usually quicker than driving.

It's a nice open space in the heart of Giesing. There are some live events and like the fact it's a little less Munich like as it's more urban and kinds Berlin like. The crowd is a bit more relaxed and chill but it is in the midst of a busy street with lots of traffic.

Space that's open for everyone to use, hang out and relax. There's a kiosk at the location. Staff is very friendly. Also check out the Altgiesing bar (same owner) and Cafe Schaumamoi nearby! There's local people, soccer fans, might seem rough, but everyone is super friendly once you get to know them.

Kiosk was removed for refurbishment of the entire place (as of May 2025). The city took over and renovated the place and it's actually going to get really nice. The works haven't yet been terminated and I don't know if and when the Kiosk might return but it seems likely to happen. The place is already open in parts, so do come, bring some music and own drinks and enjoy this great spot in Giesing to hang out!
