For a night out or a family day in München, venues like this one are best checked for opening times and events on the day itself, since programmes change. The season matters: beer gardens open from April into October, Christmas markets run through Advent, and open-air cinemas and festivals fill the summer. U-Bahn and S-Bahn services run through the night at weekends in the big cities, with night buses elsewhere, so plan the trip home.
Opening hours are published for 2 days a week. The most common schedule is 24 Stunden geöffnet. München is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. Getting around München is easiest by U-Bahn, S-Bahn, tram and bus, all covered by the Deutschlandticket that is valid on local and regional transport across Bayern and beyond; parking in city centres is scarce and either paid or limited by Parkscheibe, so public transport or a bike is usually quicker than driving.

Olympiapark in Munich is one of the most impressive places I have visited. It was built for the 1972 Summer Olympics, but what makes it truly special is how beautifully it has been maintained and how much life it still has today. Instead of becoming an abandoned Olympic site, the city turned it into a huge green park full of activities for everyone. The whole area is extremely well cared for, with lakes, open lawns, walking paths and the famous Olympic buildings set in a bright, green landscape. All the sports facilities are still in use: swimming pools, ice rinks, football fields and tennis courts are open to the public, and you see people of all ages enjoying them. There are also cinemas, theatres, playgrounds and spaces for festivals and concerts throughout the year. It’s amazing how the city continues to use every part of the park for culture, sports and recreation. The most impressive part is how the park serves the citizens. Families, teenagers and adults all find something to do, and the atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming. The design, the greenery and the way everything is organized show how well Munich has preserved this Olympic legacy. It deserves five stars for its cul

Incredible to see what the Olympic Park was like in the 70s. They still use many of the facilities yet preserve them in a way so you can still see what they looked like when they were built. You can walk around all of it without paying anything, including the inside of the pool. The big stadium is closed for renovation but everything else is open. Especially cool to see that they still use the pool and how they repurposed the athlete housing.

I went to the Tollwood festival in the park and it was packed with people, shops, delicious food, arts... You name it. It's a very nice experience and a great place to go. Since there were FIFA games, the game was playing on a big screen and people were sitting on the grass and watching the game. It was such a nice vibe.

Olympic Park Munich was a beautiful place to visit and a great spot to enjoy the city from a different side. The park is spacious, clean, and full of nice walking areas, green spaces, and impressive views. The atmosphere is relaxing but also lively, with the Olympic Stadium, the tower, and the lake giving the whole place a unique feeling. It’s perfect for walking, taking photos, relaxing, or just enjoying some fresh air. Definitely worth visiting when you are in Munich!

Very nice being here. The park is large, suitable for some exercises (eg, running, walking, cycling). There is an area with history of the Olympic in 1970s. There are many cherry blossom, a small lake, and a hill where we can see the city. It is also near BMW headquarter.
