München is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. For directions in München, Google Maps and the DB Navigator app cover public transport times and walking routes, and most towns have well-marked cycle lanes. Local transport tickets must be bought or validated before boarding, and parking near busy streets is limited and metered.

I stayed at Empress Hotel for almost a year in 2020, and it truly felt like a home for me and my brother. The staff were always kind, welcoming, and professional. Recently, due to an unexpected medical emergency involving my brother, I had to cancel a reservation at the last minute. Lara handled the situation with great understanding, kindness, and professionalism, and I am truly grateful for her support. Thank you to Lara and the entire team. I highly recommend this hotel and hope to return again in the future.

Our stay at this hotel was truly enjoyable. I would especially like to thank Lara Heitner, the manager, for her exceptional attentiveness. She carefully selected the rooms according to our wishes and handled an unexpected situation with remarkable professionalism and kindness. Her ability to find a quick solution made our stay worry-free. The location is perfect – only a 2-minute walk to the metro, with grocery stores just around the corner. The hotel itself feels very cozy, offering family-type rooms of different sizes to suit various needs. There is also the option to order a light breakfast, which adds a nice touch to the overall experience. We felt comfortable and well taken care of throughout our stay.
