Vi Vadi hotel, Munich Location: Just a short 10 min walk from the Munich central railway station (HBF). The hotel is on a main road, however there was no disturbance at all from the traffic. The old city (which is the place all tourists will visit first) is about a 20 min walk, and the English gardens is about a 45 min. walk. There are ample restaurants and shopping places around the hotel. Tip – The escalators which take you down to the Munich HBF has a huge number of supermarkets, restaurants, retail stores etc. Location rating: 4.5 stars Check in: There is a reception that is manned until 8 pm and the check in process was efficient and fast. You will need to inform them and figure out the check in process if you are arriving post 8 pm. Check in rating: 4.5 stars The room: Let’s start with the bathroom. This was very compact and was a bit of a squeeze while using the shower as well the toilet. The room had a kitchenette with a microwave and an induction stove. However, pots and pans would be provided only on an additional fee of I think of 5 Euro per day. The room overlooked the main road with one large window that could be opened (helpful since we visited in peak summer time). W

I stayed here twice during my trip. Check-in process was quick and efficient, both times: at the front desk and using the machine - when I arrived late at night the second time. The larger room I rented for the first three nights was very spacious for a hotel. Both rooms were well maintained and clean, and beds were relatively comfortable. Both my rooms were facing away from the road and I found them quiet and private (could open curtains and balcony door). Location is very central and easily walkable to the main train station, but also to the city centre. There is a laundry, but I wouldn't rely on it. Only a couple of washing machines work. The one working dryer is very slow and weak, requires at least two drying cycles (means buy two tokens) for moderate size loads. And you need to be quick and get there early, or other people will get the machines first.

I arrived at 1030 & was pleasantly surprised to be able to check into my room as it was ready. Very friendly at check in. I was immediately impressed with the room and it was extremely clean. It had everything apart from an iron & a tea towel to dry dishes etc. However I’m sure if I’d asked for these items they would been provided. The location was great, just a short walk from the train & bus stations. Very close to a Lidl, Aldi & Woolworth for groceries. Near to the old botanical gardens and not far from Marienplatz. The hotel was quiet at night and I slept well.
