München is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. Getting around München is easiest by U-Bahn, S-Bahn, tram and bus, all covered by the Deutschlandticket that is valid on local and regional transport across Bayern and beyond; parking in city centres is scarce and either paid or limited by Parkscheibe, so public transport or a bike is usually quicker than driving.

We were surprised at how calm it was on an August Saturday in the late afternoon! Fairly priced, there’s loads to see. Equally interesting for kids and adults! Beautiful building as well - it does get pretty warm inside though!

Nothing bad to say about the German Transport Museum. Showcases many different modes of transportation throughout the years and from the beginning. Buggies, powered buggies, bikes, motorbikes, cars, big trucks, buses, EVs and more..this museum has it all for about 10 bucks. I spent about an hour here but other enthusiasts could definitely spend longer.

Beautiful, huge, and well-organized museum. Most historical vehicles are in here. The most impressive are how they warn accident and inspire using public and/or eco-friendly transportations. The ticket is cheap, and the place is quiet.

This place was AWESOME! So interactive yet informative. Showing all different eras of transportation, like trains, cars, planes and even ice staking and skiing - you can learn so much here for all ages. The museum is quite large, meaning there’s plenty of room to roam and you can find yourself here for hours.

I really enjoyed visiting the German Transport Museum. The collection is very interesting! from cars and trains to bikes and other exhibits, there’s a lot to see and learn. It’s definitely worth the visit if you’re into history and technology. One thing I noticed, though, is how much the museum highlights Germany’s push toward Green energy. It makes me wonder because the country doesn’t really have a lot of natural resources to support large-scale Green energy production, yet they keep pushing it so strongly. It’s interesting but also a bit puzzling. Overall, a great museum with plenty to explore and a visit that leaves you thinking not only about the past but also about the future of transportation and energy.
