About Bob W Munich Old Town

Located at Baaderstraße 1, 80469 München-Ludwigsvorstadt-Isarvorstadt, Bob W Munich Old Town operates as a hotel serving München in Bayern. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it. Travel businesses in München serve both domestic and international visitors. Compare the rate here with the property's own website before you commit, check the cancellation terms and keep a copy of your booking. Deutsche Bahn fares are cheapest weeks ahead as Sparpreis tickets, the Deutschlandticket covers local and regional transport for a flat monthly fee, and peak periods such as Easter, Whitsun, the July-August holidays and Advent fill popular destinations months ahead.

Opening hours have not been published for this listing yet. Most businesses of this type in München keep standard hours, but call ahead to be sure, especially on the weekly Ruhetag, on Sundays and over the Christmas and Easter holidays. The listed phone number is 030 25559450. Calling ahead is the norm in Germany for reservations and for confirming that a small business is open that day; e-mail or WhatsApp is the common alternative if you would rather write than speak. More information is available on its website, booking.bobw.co.

Its Google rating is 3.9 out of 5 from 465 reviews, a solid but mixed picture; reading the most recent reviews will tell you what to expect before you commit to a visit.

München is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. Getting around München is easiest by U-Bahn, S-Bahn, tram and bus, all covered by the Deutschlandticket that is valid on local and regional transport across Bayern and beyond; parking in city centres is scarce and either paid or limited by Parkscheibe, so public transport or a bike is usually quicker than driving.

Service is non-existing (self-service check in/out). The maintenance/cleaning staff around the hotel are however super helpful and kind. It is quiet and comfy although matress and pillows were extremely soft for my taste

i had 2 “issues” with my room at Bob W and the response time to fix both was super fast. shower drain was clogged so reached out via the chat and they had someone there to fix it within 2 hours while i was out. Munich also experienced a heatwave so my room got super hot with sun exposed windows. I reached out and within 30min i had a new, cooler, room. location is kickass and just reach out if you need something!

Make yourself a favour and stay away from this hotel! Worst cost benefit ever: super expensive, but the tiny rooms have no air conditioning (couldn’t sleep all night because of how warm the room was), no frigobar, no cleaning services, and no breakfast within the hotel area. There’s only a 19 euros voucher for you to have breakfast in a 10-min walking bakery that only opens at 8am. For the amount of money this place charges, you would do better staying in a better equipped Airbnb. Zero infrastructure and even worse value for your money.

Stayed 3 nights at ~€400/night as it was a high occupancy month in Munich. First room ridiculously tiny & had to be moved. Second room had non-functioning air conditioning from check-in. Reported immediately and went our for the day. Received a text saying it was fixed. When we return for the evening we found it was not. We personally diagnosed the error code and informed the hotel a technician was needed. They took 30+ hours to act on the problem and then replied via text that a technician was needed and it would not be repaired until the day of our departure. Problem never resolved before checkout. Spent one night in a room so small we couldn't unpack and two nights in a 6th floor room without AC. Bob W is fully digital with no front desk, making escalation very difficult. They offered 20% compensation then failed to process it. We had to pursue a chargeback through our credit card provider to receive any refund. Breakfast at their contracted restaurant Cotidiano was genuinely excellent — the one bright spot. At €400/night, basic services must work. When they don't, the hotel must respond and honor its commitments. Bob W did neither. Cannot recommend.

A bit run down but decent hotel for the price. Just be aware there’s no AC and the blinds aren’t super blackout, so if you’re a light sleeper you might have a tough time here. Otherwise it was a good location and a fine place to stay. Other reviews mention noise, but I was on the 7th floor and didn’t have a problem.
