München is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. For directions in München, Google Maps and the DB Navigator app cover public transport times and walking routes, and most towns have well-marked cycle lanes. Local transport tickets must be bought or validated before boarding, and parking near busy streets is limited and metered.

Quick, but enjoyable. Just a few Euro, so definitely worth visiting. Make sure to stop in the taproom to try a few beers as well.

We came for a drink on a Friday and then came back for a beer tasting with Joel the day after. We had a lovely time. The tasting was incredibly informative. Lots of information, funny and also enjoyable with 4 beers to taste. Highly recommend.

Really interesting and well worth a visit. Only €4 for the entrance fee. Lots of stairs, so not suitable for those with mobility issues. I was a solo traveller and I went into the bar area which consisted of long tables and done the 4 miniature beer tastings. My favourite was the beer with the hint of banana in it. Ended up sitting on a table with an Irish girl, English man and 2 Canadian girls who were also on a tour around Europe. Ended up having a couple more drinks with them and having a lovely afternoon. Well worth a visit.

Since I’ve been living in Munich for a couple of years, I always wanted to visit this museum. It’s a rather small museum, spread across several floors. There is a lot of information, old photos, historical equipment, and general knowledge about beer in Munich and in Germany overall. I really enjoyed the museum itself, with a big plus being the automatic ticket machine, which works very easily and smoothly. Unfortunately, after the visit I wanted to have a beer in their Stüberl and came across very unfriendly service. It felt aggressive and was the typical behaviour you often find in large beer halls in central Munich. No friendliness and no interest in helping at all. I sat at an unreserved table, only to be told that it was reserved, which is totally fine. Still, there was no effort to help me find another table. Even after waiting for several minutes and trying to politely get the attention of the server to order a beer, I received an angry look and an unnecessarily harsh response. Having travelled extensively in the Bavarian countryside, especially to visit breweries and places related to beer, I have zero tolerance for this kind of central Munich behaviour. So I left immediat

Perhaps this museum is often overlooked from the crowds but if you're into beer, well, this place is right up your alley. I'm a beer lover and I really enjoyed visiting this small museum. Situated in one of the oldest houses in Munich, you're transported back in time, literally. I was surprised by how cheap the admission ticket is. You follow a series of intricate rooms, wooden corridors and plenty of signs and information that details the history of beer making. And as the name suggests, there is plenty of information regarding the famous Oktoberfest festival. It wasn't busy at all when we visited and we were able to walk at a slower pace to enjoy the place. At the end of course, you have to stop by at the in-house brewery to sample and taste delicious beer. We couldn't help ourselves, me and my girlfriend. Highly recommend visiting it.
