Wir waren gestern bei der Eröffnungsfeier des Bayerwaldhauses im Westpark und hatten ehrlich gesagt keine großen Erwartungen – umso schöner war der Eindruck vor Ort. Ein sehr sympathischer Verein hat das Haus übernommen und man merkt sofort, dass hier mit Herz gearbeitet wird. Die Eröffnung war insgesamt sehr gelungen: gute Stimmung, freundliche Menschen und ein stimmiges Angebot an Speis und Trank. Besonders positiv ist uns die Atmosphäre aufgefallen. Inmitten einer großen Stadt wie München ist es etwas Besonderes, einen Ort zu haben, der so stark an Tradition erinnert und ein echtes Heimatgefühl vermittelt. Die bayerische Sprache und Kultur werden hier sichtbar gelebt – das wirkt authentisch und nicht künstlich inszeniert. Auch die zukünftigen Veranstaltungen klingen vielversprechend und abwechslungsreich. Wir werden definitiv wiederkommen und den Ort auch im Freundes- und Bekanntenkreis weiterempfehlen. Solche Plätze sollte es in München viel öfter geben. Wir würden außerdem sehr gerne Jodeln lernen. Daher wäre es großartig, wenn es zeitnah einen Jodelkurs für Anfänger geben würde – das würde perfekt zu diesem Ort passen und das kulturelle Angebot wunderbar ergänzen.

I arrived to early and it was closed. A nice little hike in the alps to get to this little gem. A little lake and nice views 👌

Great place for walk and History

An old traditional Bavarian house showing the architecture of the time back then. It's originally from Lower Bavaria but was dismantled and rebuilt for the international gardening exhibition in the 1970s. Some information can be read outside but it's only in German.
