About Siegestor

Located at Leopoldstraße 2, 80539 München, Siegestor operates as a schlösser serving München in Bayern. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it. Besides its main category, the business also describes itself as sehenswürdigkeit, so it may cover more than the name suggests.

Entertainment and cultural venues fill up at weekends, on public holidays and during school holidays, so check opening times and book tickets ahead where possible. Most museums close on Mondays, many state theatres and opera houses pause over the summer, and the Kulturpass gives 18-year-olds a budget to spend on culture. Ask about age limits and whether photography is allowed.

The business lists hours on 2 days of the week. On most of those days it is open 24 Stunden geöffnet. As with most places, expect changes around public holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. The listed phone number is 089 23396500. Calling ahead is the norm in Germany for reservations and for confirming that a small business is open that day; e-mail or WhatsApp is the common alternative if you would rather write than speak. Its website is muenchen.de, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

Customers rate it 4.6 out of 5 on Google across 4,748 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded schlösser, burgen & historische stätten in München.

München is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. German addresses put the street name before the house number, followed by the five-digit postcode and the town, as in "Marienplatz 8, 80331 München". The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

See the other schlösser, burgen & historische stätten in München listed below to compare ratings, hours and locations before you decide. Details on this page come from public sources and may change; confirm anything important by phone before relying on it. Business owners can claim the listing to keep it up to date.

The Siegestor in Munich is a beautiful and historic landmark that is definitely worth visiting. Its impressive architecture and rich history make it a great stop while exploring the city. The surrounding area is lively, with easy access to public transport, cafés, and the English Garden nearby. It’s a great place for taking photos, learning about Munich’s history, or simply enjoying a walk through the city. The monument is well maintained and especially beautiful when illuminated in the evening. A must-visit for anyone interested in history, architecture, or sightseeing in Munich.

A great place to visit. Whilst it may be a bit out of the way, it’s well worth the walk. Very beautiful, surrounded by a beautiful neighbourhood.

The Siegestor is a nice landmark to see while exploring Munich. It’s not the most exciting attraction, but it makes for a beautiful photo spot and is worth a quick stop. There are plenty of benches nearby, making it a great place to sit down, relax, and take a short break before continuing your walk through the city.

Worth a visit Munich is not that big a city so it's better to go wherever you can

Interesting. We saw it, was glad we did but..... If you are short on time, or if your feet are worn out, this is Not a must see, especially If you have already seen the Arc de Triomphe in Paris (as this is less grand). There are limited marquee tourist attractions immediately near the Siegestor and it is a moderate walk from Altstadt Munich.
