We really enjoyed our 4 night stay and felt it was excellent value. Large comfortable room with everything you need, especially the fridge - so useful. Our room 324 was overlooking the busy street was very quiet with the windows closed. Great shower. Fabulous breakfast buffet with something for every taste, with friendly staff. Turn left out the front door of the Hotel and it’s a 15/20 minute walk to the cathedral, but definitely turn right and explore the local area too, not just a handy nearby supermarket but also lots of interesting restaurants and shops and fun to watch the weddings taking place at the old city wall gatehouse, people watching is such a great free activity! The night before our departure an Efficient and helpful receptionist organised a takeaway breakfast box for our 5am departure when we explained that we would be leaving early - juice, croissants, fruit and a sandwich were ready for us in the morning. she reassured us that a taxi to the airport would be no issue at such an early hour and she was correct, when we came to reception at 5am the overnight receptionist rang for a taxi and it arrived in 2 minutes. Thank you and Well done to all the staff of the Merc

We had a very good stay at the Mercure Hotel Severinshof Köln City. The hotel is well located and convenient, with the added benefit of parking, which made our visit to Cologne very easy and stress-free. The rooms were comfortable, clean, and well maintained, offering a good night’s sleep throughout our stay. The overall atmosphere of the hotel is calm and practical, ideal for both short city trips and business stays. Dinner service was a clear highlight. The restaurant staff were attentive and the evening meals were well prepared, making dining at the hotel an enjoyable experience. Overall, this was a very good stay, with strong points in comfort, location, and dinner service, balanced by a breakfast that could be improved. We would consider staying here again when visiting Cologne.
