The restaurant is conveniently located near Cologne Cathedral and not far from Koelnmesse, making it very easy to visit. Sitting at an outdoor table overlooking the square was absolutely wonderful. Above all, the Schweinshaxe was one of the best I’ve ever had — perfectly crispy on the outside and incredibly tender and juicy inside. The sausages were also nicely seasoned, not overly salty, with a clean and savory flavor. The onions helped balance the richness of the pork, and the wonderfully chewy potatoes complemented the Schweinshaxe perfectly. And the Kölsch beer — what more can I say? It comes in those small, adorable glasses that you could almost finish in one go, and it washed away both my thirst and the richness of the meal perfectly. All of the servers were clearly very busy, but they still treated every guest with a smile and a great sense of humor. There is also a spacious party area downstairs, and the restrooms were surprisingly large and very clean. Everything about this dinner was perfect. Nice restaurant with a very big terrace. Indoor seating is also available though. English menu is available. We had the schnitzel with creamy mushroom sauce which was tasty but I was a bit disappointed that canned mushrooms were used not fresh ones. As for the burger, it was tasty.

felt compelled to try out this restaurant because of the glaring reviews and was not disappointed. Good amount of walk near the cologne station and cathedral. Starting with the potato soup. Such a great light starter. No complaints. Everything was perfectly tied up with the warm bread and few slices of German sausage. 11/10 recommend. Pork knuckle was a sight for sore eyes. Crispy skin and soft moist meat on the inside. Did not taste too oily at all which was surprising. Their schnitzel was also the best weve tried during our trip. Right amount of breading and the serving was great. Ordered the butcher’s platter for myself to get a mix of everything and was impressed that every part of the dish shined. Even the chicken was seasoned well and not too dry.

Very nice barvan restaurant, with different areas and floors plus terrace. Vibrant and lively atmosphere, with loud music after 22:00. The range of food options is pretty wide and the kölsch local beer is very good. The soup and the sausage were particularly tasty Highly recommendable.
