Tiergarten Nürnberg is a park in Nürnberg, Bayern. It is listed at Am Tiergarten 30, 90480 Nürnberg, which places it among the local businesses of Nürnberg that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by. Google also lists it under bildungseinrichtung, forschungsinstitut, sehenswürdigkeit, which is worth knowing if you are comparing several options in the area.

Entertainment and cultural venues fill up at weekends, on public holidays and during school holidays, so check opening times and book tickets ahead where possible. Most museums close on Mondays, many state theatres and opera houses pause over the summer, and the Kulturpass gives 18-year-olds a budget to spend on culture. Ask about age limits and whether photography is allowed.

Opening hours are published for 7 days a week. The most common schedule is 9 am–5 pm. Hours in Germany do change around public holidays, and many businesses close for a day or two over Christmas and Easter, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is 0911 23154546. Calling ahead is the norm in Germany for reservations and for confirming that a small business is open that day; e-mail or WhatsApp is the common alternative if you would rather write than speak. Its website is tiergarten.nuernberg.de, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

On Google it holds a rating of 4.3 out of 5 from 8,067 reviews, which is a strong result for a park in Nürnberg and suggests consistent service.

Nürnberg is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. Getting around Nürnberg is easiest by U-Bahn, S-Bahn, tram and bus, all covered by the Deutschlandticket that is valid on local and regional transport across Bayern and beyond; parking in city centres is scarce and either paid or limited by Parkscheibe, so public transport or a bike is usually quicker than driving.

If you must use just one word to describe the zoo, it would be "enormous". This place is really huge, thus near the entrance they offer luggage carts (5 euro), in which you can even pull a kid or two, because they will get tired eventually. At the far side there is a petting zoo area with small goats to mingle with. The inner small cafeterias and restaurants are more on the expensive side, but there are many resting areas with tables and benches, so many locals bring food and enjoy quiet time in the forest.

Exciting experience for me and my kids. The place is large. We arrived at 9.30am and make our way up till the large playground near pig area and we return to the Dolphins just to watch Dolphin's show at 11am. My kids love it and mesmerizing with the show. I think most active animals that time are monkey, dolphins, seal, polar bear (they are playing with the balls all the time and it's cute). We end our day at the big playground near pig area and ride the train to exit area. The playground is soo big and exciting for kids. Luckily the train back is available because we were too tired to walk. You can bring your own food and lots of picnic area. Also lots of food stall available. Tram and bus stop right in front of entrance. Definitely a good experience for kids.

My wife and I visit the Tiergarten for many years at least once a week. It’s easily one of the most beautiful, most impressive zoos in all of Europe. Animals like the harpy, the Mishmi takins, the mossy frogs and the blue tree monitor are endangered species and not easily found in other European zoos. The habitats are intricately conceived to resemble the natural spaces of animals and meet their needs and preferences. Wandering across the vast landscape zoo is simply one of the most entertaining and informative adventures Nuremberg offers.

The Nuremberg Tiergarten is one of the greatest zoos in Germany, in terms of size and overall quality. This enormous park has all sorts of impressive and charismatic animals in beautifully designed enclosures, such as polar bears, big cats, gorillas, birds of prey, and especially hoofed animals; their herds of zebra, antelope, deer, buffalo etc. inhabit sprawling green meadows. As if that weren't enough, there's the aquatic double-whammy of manatees and dolphins in top-class complexes. Highly recommend you give this place a visit. Just remember to wear comfortable footwear!

The zoo is located on the mountainside so there is a lot of hiking involved in visiting it. It's also really big and has lots of trees, sometimes you feel like going through a forest only to reach another animal enclosure. There are also some rare animals here like polar bears. The only problem I had with it was the program, the feeding times overlap with other points of the program. I guess it's to have people decide so none of them are really crowded and for the people to avoid running around the zoo, but if you are here as a tourist it kinda sucks since you won't be able to see them all unless you arrive here early in the morning at stay till 4pm
