Nürnberg is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. Getting around Nürnberg is easiest by U-Bahn, S-Bahn, tram and bus, all covered by the Deutschlandticket that is valid on local and regional transport across Bayern and beyond; parking in city centres is scarce and either paid or limited by Parkscheibe, so public transport or a bike is usually quicker than driving.

A very calm viewpoint, and I especially liked the atmosphere. It doesn’t feel too touristy, so you can simply stand there for a while and enjoy the view. I found it in penguindor when I was looking for something interesting nearby.

Beautiful walk around the old city walls, where the garden is. You can enter via the castle or from the south from a tower, where the map points you. Very well maintained gardens, a toilet in the middle, benches, etc. Of course it has some stairs to climb.

The first part is very small, after that there are 2 bigger parts. You can enter the garden from different sides. One was now closed because of the renovation. Only the middle one had flowers at this time. Apparently you should have a good view on the old city?? The one one the side is wheelchair friendly. The small part is only excesible by stairs.
