Entertainment and cultural venues fill up at weekends, on public holidays and during school holidays, so check opening times and book tickets ahead where possible. Nürnberg is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. Getting around Nürnberg is easiest by U-Bahn, S-Bahn, tram and bus, all covered by the Deutschlandticket that is valid on local and regional transport across Bayern and beyond; parking in city centres is scarce and either paid or limited by Parkscheibe, so public transport or a bike is usually quicker than driving.

Make sure NOT TO MISS this place. The feeling of being here is simply indescribable, specially if you manage to be by yourself. You're stepping into History, literally. Plus a lot of other WW2 era stuff a stone throws away. Must see.

Hope some officials see this. Wonderful park, but I don’t understand why klassik open air can be allowed to completely block off the Erhenhalle, and also use it for storage and drive on it with forklifts, even though its heritage protected. I was there in the middle of the tourist season. 3 days after the concert. Move the scene to the other side of the park please!

Beautiful park in Nuremberg but at one point was one of the main sights for the Nazi Party Rallies. They have market the areas with photos and writing on where the rallies took place. The park has beautiful trees, grass and plenty of walk ways to jog or ride a bike.

We visited for two Open air concerts. Classic Open Air Family Concert. Classic Open Air-Dancing with the Philharmonic. Can't wait for next year. Always a treat. Wonder, spectacular, full of talented artist and musicians.

Beautiful park area with amazing trees and history. Usually very clean, however one might come across a lot of dogs running freely.
