This was the lunch spot chosen for a Viking river cruise on the day we relocated from Nuremberg to Passau. We really enjoyed the German sausages and it was a lovely break from sightseeing. It is a central location - close to the main square where the Christmas market is held. It is a large restaurant and, though busy, did not seem overcrowded. There was plenty of space to move between tables. I'm sure the beer was good - but I am not a beer drinker! Toilets are downstairs.

Possabily the best city centre restaurant in Neurnberg for traditinal Bavarian / Franconian food fast freindly service prepared and presented beautifuly i took a group of training students from the Netherlands this week and we had a range of dishes from the menu every one was happy and enjoyed the meal the service we recived was prompt and profesinal our drinks were delivered quickly and refils were also easy to order as the lovely Debbie kept an eye on th etable whilst serving the other customers 100% recomend a visit

Good German food, large portions. Nice looking interior and beautiful Christmas decorations. We didn't have to wait long for our food after ordering, German efficiency works. We were visiting during the busy Christmas season and would have liked to have heard wine recommendations from the waiter. Unfortunately, he couldn't help because he was a seasonal employee. And then there was no waiter available who knew about wines for us. We used AI and got ok wines ordered with our dishes. Maybe when you go to "a wine and beer house", you would expect there to be staff there to tell you about the drinks...

We visited this restaurant on New Year's Eve with a 9 PM reservation. The Good: The décor was lovely and captured the character and style of Nuremberg beautifully – it felt authentically German and created a nice atmosphere. Our server was polite and friendly. Mixed Experience: The food was okay but not particularly memorable. Both main dishes and the dessert were decent but somewhat average – nothing special, though not bad either. One Concern: The one thing that affected our experience was that we felt somewhat rushed during our meal. Despite having a 9 PM reservation, there seemed to be an indirect expectation to finish up and leave fairly quickly. It made us a bit uncomfortable about lingering, even though we had booked a table. For New Year's Eve, we had hoped for a more relaxed dining experience. Would I recommend it? It's an okay choice if you appreciate the traditional German atmosphere, but the food and service could be better.

Absolutely stunning and cosy restaurant. Great food too. So glad we stumbled upon this place at Christmas time; the decorations were top notch and it created the perfect Christmas atmosphere.
