Imposantes Bauwerk mit aufregendem Innenleben und architektonischem Aplomb, kann frau/man gern reinsehen, ist Teil des Projekts offene Kirche — zumindest die Rampe für den barrierefreien Zugang über die selbstöffnende Seitentür weist einen möglichen Weg, wenn auch das Hauptportal geschlossen sein sollte.

Wirklich beeindruckender Bau. Mehr Festung als Kirche, archaisch und monumental. Frei nach Martin Luther: „Eine feste Burg ist unser Gott“. Im 20. Jahrhundert entstanden die Kirchen meist im Bauhaus-Stil. Die stellen bis heute aufgrund ihrer ideenarmen Scheußlichkeit in ganz vielen Städten ein echtes Ärgernis dar. Der 1935 bis 1938 von Gottfried Dauner erbauten Reformations-Gedächtnis-Kirche blieb dieses Schicksal erspart - zu suspekt war den Nazis die Bauhaus-Bewegung. Das zwölfeckige Gebäude weist gotische und romanische Elemente auf und wirkt allein durch seine gewaltigen Abmessungen außerordentlich mächtig.
