The restaurant sits right beside the cathedral and has a beautiful view. It’s usually busy, so a short wait is to be expected, but it’s worth it. The food was great. Since I went in the morning, I only had a cappuccino. Sipping my coffee while gazing at the cathedral was such an emotional and memorable experience.

Gaffel am Dom - Brauhaus is an absolute must if you’re near the Cologne Cathedral. I stopped in next to Don, and the view was just perfect—right in the heart of the city with the cathedral towering over us. The beer here is absolutely delicious, crisp, and full of flavor, exactly what you hope for in a classic Kölsch experience. The atmosphere is lively yet welcoming, and it feels like the perfect spot to relax and soak in the authentic Cologne vibe. Between the great service and the unbeatable location, enjoying a fresh beer here is a memory I’ll happily keep. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Cologne!

Despite not having a booking, the staff was accommodating and seated me quickly. The restaurant is quite busy and loud, but it adds to the great atmosphere. The schnitzel was tasty, though I regret not trying the pork knuckle. I absolutely loved the Kölsch; I'm missing it already!

We did a day trip to köln, the first brauhaus we went into had no service. We found this brauhaus and let me tell you leon and the staff did not disappoint between the never ending service of local beer and the great food we had an amazing experience.

We visited on a Sunday around 3:00 PM. Even though it was busy with a football match on the screens, we were seated immediately. The energy in the room was great! • Service: Very efficient. The waiter arrived quickly and offered us English menus. Even with the crowd, our food arrived almost instantly. • The Beer: The Kölsch was excellent. Interestingly, the non-alcoholic beer was the best we’ve ever tasted! Note: We didn't experience the traditional "automatic refill" (where they keep bringing beer until you cover your glass with a coaster), but we saw it happening at other tables—it’s fun to watch! • Food: We had the potato salad, the 1/3 meter sausage, and a classic wurst. Everything was delicious and exactly what you’d want from a traditional German brewhouse. • Value: For a place located right next to the Cathedral (Dom), the prices are very reasonable and not inflated like typical tourist spots.
