This bakery is a gem of a find on the beautiful, tree-lined, boutique-y Blutenburg Str! Their organic breads are consistently wonderful—flavorful, fresh, and clearly made with care. The atmosphere inside is always warm and inviting, making it a place you want to linger in. The staff are friendly, approachable, and genuinely knowledgeable about their breads and other offerings. We come here regularly and have seen Mei, Stephan and Dora, always happily answer questions with a smile and accurately give information including that about allergies and ingredients about what they have on the menu. They take customer feedback seriously, thoughtfully passing it along to the bakers. It’s also an incredibly family-friendly spot. There’s a cozy little corner for kids stocked with drawing books, Rätselbücher, and colored pencils to keep little ones entertained. For pet owners, there’s a designated area outside with fresh water for dogs. The outdoor seating is delightful—perfect in summer, and thoughtfully equipped with warm fleece blankets in the winter. All in all, a truly welcoming place with great bread and even better care for its customers.

This is a place my family and I love to visit every week. It’s right in our neighborhood and, as recent transplants from the U.S., this has become a little home away from home. The Zimtschnecke is a family favorite. But more than the lovely baked items and coffee, the staff have been so warm and welcoming. We’re learning German as quickly as possible, but the staff are always friendly enough to flip into English. We've even gotten to know some of the other regulars from the neighborhood. So whether you need a cozy shop that’s kid-friendly (like us!!!) or you just need a quick stop for coffee or amazing bread or pastries, this spot on Blutenburgstr. is highly recommended!
