So happy to have the Balcanic bakery in the neighborhood - open seven days a week, from early morning till late in the evening. They offer a simple but very fresh and tasty variety of continental bread and pastries that are also very good value for money. The sitting area inside is ample and bright and a convenient meeting point for earthy breakfasts, light lunches or afternoon pastry and coffee gatherings. And in the summer they also provide outdoor tables for al fresco entertainment. Our family favourite items are the fluffy Albanian round bread, the flaky croissants and the soft chewy sweet buns. Way to go guys!

The Balkan Bakery in Laim is a true hidden gem. From the outside, it’s easy to overlook with its simple exterior, but once inside you’ll find a surprisingly spacious bakery with plenty of seating and a clean, minimal décor. They offer a great variety of sweet and savory baked goods. A standout is their börek with spinach - absolutely delicious! Served warm, it’s perfect to take away or enjoy fresh in the bakery. The pastry is beautifully flaky with just the right amount of crunch, and the spinach filling adds a rich, earthy flavor. Their bread was also excellent: fluffy, light, and fresh. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area!
