Recently spent a week in Cologne and our Airbnb host recommended this place. A lovely place with very welcoming and friendly members of staff. The whole atmosphere was so relaxed. The only small issue was the football playing on screens at that time which was a bit too loud. Great food and beers, of course. But my absolute favourite was Vino Verde on tap. A portuguese sparkling wine. Not widely available in pubs/bars or supermarkets so if you happen to visit Hemmer, give it a try. I will definetely go back to this place on my next visit.

Nice German pub with a good variety of food - not only the usual schnitzels but also salads, pastas, flammkuchen, seasonal dishes etc. Card payments accepted!

Food is really good and the portions are for big boys. The Schnitzel with Bratkartoffeln is my Highlight. The Schnitzel tastes really fresh and Homemade. The salad could have a better dressing. I would definitely come back.

Super delicious traditional German food. The portions are really big and the prices are good. Just one complaint: why is it not possible to pay by normal cards?? We are in the XXI century. It’s about time people...

I always have a nice time in Hemmer. If I can't decide what to order, then I just go for the Schnitzel! The servers are always friendly, the service is pretty fast, and the portions are good. One of my favorite places to go but... Can't eat here too often or I'll get fat!
