From the castle viewpoint at Veste Oberhaus you can hear the Rathaus clock chimes echoing across the city. Its loud and clear, and for a moment it feels like the whole city pauses to listen. The sound adds so much atmosphere to the view, mixing with the rivers and rooftops below. Its one of those little moments that makes Passau feel alive and unforgettable

Relatively easy 15-20minute hike, don’t listen to those saying it’s difficult. Mostly shaded, well worth the views!

Breathtaking view of Passau from above, where one can see the peninsula. The walk is arduous, but the reward is worth it.

Amazing view over the old city of Passau. You can also hike up here in 30-40 minutes. Recommended!

321 steps climb to the top of Passau. You will see where Danube splits into two Rivers Danube and Inn. Breathtaking Vista point. Worth the climb.
