Highly recommend this local restaurant, a short walk away from the Dome, away from the tourist buzz. Had a great wienerschnitzel and potato/cucumber sallad. They also have a great wine selection with lots of high quality German wines. Quick and friendly service!

This was the best German meal we have had in our 2 week stay. The schnitzel was absolutely amazing! The original and the Welch! Highly recommend eating here if you are in Cologne.

I wanted to try a local restaurant which the local go there to eat not just for tourists. I found this one rate 4.5 star. I was so glad I ate there. Veggies was so fresh, baked potatoes well cooked. Ordered a sea bass and prime beef steak. Food was absolutely tasty and yummy. Highly recommend to everyone.

I travel for work in Europe quite often. Not knowing the language beyond certain pleasantries, I'm always wondering how i will be received. I always wait & observe how a place treats women dining alone. Brucken is one i will continue to visit on trips to Koln. When i walked in and was asked for reservations, i wasn't sure what to expect but was tired and hungry. They not only made accommodations but also made me feel welcome. There is a section in the front for no reservations with a very long community table plus an additional 4 seater. Not only did they have gracious hospitality to this single lady diner , but also had very good food and we're attentive the whole time Despite having customers on the other side, they still brought my food out timely and freshly cooked. Kudos Brucken and thank you so much for preparing a delicious meal and for your kindness. The norweigan salmon entree was served with bread basket, a delicately seasoned herb salad, and sides of mashed and veggies. Very satisfying

It’s a cold and rainy night, and we didn’t want to walk too far. So, we decided to try this restaurant near our hotel. Since it was late and cold, the dining room wasn’t too crowded. We quickly ordered our food. Everything was fresh and delicious, except for one small detail. We didn’t pay much attention, and the waitress didn’t inform us that the main dish would come with a salad. So, we ended up having more salad than we could eat, but it was still good.
