Great service. The young lady there was fantastic. Helped us switch the car to english and gave us a few tips. The car was awesome. Did a weeks worth of travelling perfect. Hassle free all the way.

Normally, you come to Germany, everything is “no problem”… unless you go to Sixt and then you have a problem. I paid to rent a car for three days and paid a considerable deposit. If I am late, because of traveling issues, that shouldn’t be an open invitation to give your car away. I reserved the car 6 months ago if I want to pay and never pick it up, I don’t see the problem. That’s why you pay 6 months the ahead of time.. so your car is waiting for you. That’s kind of the entire point. 0/10 car rental agency

Absolute disgrace. Your helpline sent us here after cancelling our BMW 7 Series 11-day booking on the morning of pickup with no notice. We had travelled from Amsterdam to Cologne specifically for this car. Your employee’s response? He told us your own helpline is “useless” and does this every day. Instead of showing any empathy or finding a solution for two international travellers stranded in a foreign city with luggage in another country he walked away and disappeared. We then went to the Hilton branch. Same employee was there. Same attitude. Treated us like we had done something wrong when the fault is entirely SIXT’s. We had to buy emergency train tickets back to Amsterdam (€160). No car. No help. No humanity. Entire German road trip ruined. Arrived early to pick up our Tesla Model Y rental for the week. The team at this Sixt sent us to the other Sixt location at the hotel to pick it up. The hotel folks sent us to the garage but the the garage people sent us back to the hotel. Seems they were confused. But this meant my family and I had to lug out suit cases all over the place. This was the only bad part of our experience with this Sixt location. The Tesla Model Y was great, but smelled horrible. Seems previous renter smoked cigarettes in it or something. And the Sixt clean up team tried to clean it but still smelled. We had to leave the windows down in the cold for a long time to air it out while we drove. This is the second Tesla I have rented from a Sixt in Germany that smelled like cigarettes. Not a nice smell at all. The car was great. Super charging was easy to do. I was not billed for charging. I returned it at a higher state of charge so they didn’t even bill me to charge it back up. There is no premium connectivity so we used out Bluetooth connection to listen to music. Basic Autopilot worked great. They also included all the charging equipment, so was able to charge at the place we were staying using normal
