Regensburg is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. German addresses put the street name before the house number, followed by the five-digit postcode and the town, as in "Marienplatz 8, 80331 München". The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

First of all, I stood at reception for five minutes while receptionist and staff walking back and forth avoided eye contact with me before anyone greeted me. I’d heard they do tune-up’s, so I brought my bike which needs a lot of wear and tear repairs from Regensburg cobblestone streets. Definitely overdue, but the worker seemed overwhelmed when he saw my bike and kept saying “You have to tell me exactly what to repair. I wouldn’t know where to start.” He repeated this a few times, and I felt I was being grilled as to why my bike was in such a condition. As someone who is not confident speaking German, this was uncomfortable and honestly embarrassing, so I just left with my bike because he clearly did not want to work on it. I asked if it would be expensive and he was flustered and kept saying I have to tell him exactly what to do even though I had already said an overall tune-up. It would have been better if he had just calmly given me a few rough quotes for the bare minimum or repairing everything instead of this confusing exasperation. If you’re not a “serious cyclist” don’t go to this bourgeois shop.

Friendly. Responded to emails. Bicycle reservation does not require a credit card. Cost similar to others (13 Eu per day for 5 days). Bikes were in good condition. They have a drop off option when the store is closed. Location on the outskirts of old town was still in walking distance from my hotel in the center. On the down side - could not rent accessories such as paneers, or bottle holder. The bikes cane with a lock (a bit short) Overall a good experience.

I hired a bike for 10 days in the summer - taking it on the camper to Donaueschingen, and then cycling back to Regensburg. The bike was a good hybrid, the price was very good, and this shop was much nicer to deal with than many others hiring bikes for the Danube cycle route. It's a shame they don't have a collection service, but this time it worked for me as I passed through Regensburg before going to the source of the river.

We would like to see the less populated area around Regensburg and decided to cycle along the Danube. Search online and found this shop jus a few minutes away from the stone bridge. Service was excellent, clear and simple. We were able to pick-up our basic rental bicycles at around 10am the next morning within less than 10mins. Returning the bicycles were also simple and easy. The bicycles were in good condition and the price to value ratio is great!! Would recommend for anyone who would like to rent a bicycle to this shop. Technicians at the shop speak very good English (so much better compare to my Germans), so dont worry if you are not speaking much Germans.

This place was awesome. After reading horrible reviews about the other bike rental in town (near the train station) we were hesitant. The process of renting could not have been easier. No deposit, no hassle. We took the bikes and enjoyed our day out with instructions to lock up the bikes when we were done. The bikes were great quality too.
