Regensburg is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. German addresses put the street name before the house number, followed by the five-digit postcode and the town, as in "Marienplatz 8, 80331 München". The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

I went to the emergency room today because of severe pain in my right eye after a heavy object hit it directly. I have been waiting in the queue for more than three hours now. What is wrong with this system? It shouldn’t be this hard to get a simple eye checkup. As a university student, I wouldn’t recommend anyone come here unless it’s an absolute emergency. Otherwise, just go to a different hospital or a private clinic. Update: I have now been waiting for more than six hours and I still haven't seen a doctor. The most annoying part is that literally everyone who arrived after me has already been treated and left, while I am still waiting. It is a terrible experience, and I definitely don't recommend this place to other students. I assumed that because this hospital is affiliated with the university, I would be treated well, but it feels like they don't care about you at all. I have a presentation tomorrow that I’m supposed to be preparing for, but thanks to this hospital, my entire day is gone and I haven't been able to eat or study. When I brought this up to the receptionist, she told me they had called the doctor and that she would see me soon. However, when I asked why everyone

I want to provide feedback regarding our experience at today's Optometry appointment. My wife had a scheduled appointment for 1200. We arrived at the clinic and checked in around 1110 to ensure we were early and prepared. As of 1423, more than two hours after the scheduled appointment time, she had still not been seen. I fully understand that medical clinics can experience delays due to emergencies, staffing shortages, or appointments that run longer than expected. As a military family, we recognize that unforeseen circumstances happen and that patient care comes first. However, what was most frustrating was the lack of communication regarding the delay. Had we been informed of an estimated wait time or provided updates throughout the process, it would have helped us manage expectations and make informed decisions about our day. Instead, we were left waiting for several hours without a clear understanding of when the appointment would begin. Appointments are scheduled for a reason, and patients are expected to arrive on time or risk being marked as late or even as a no-show. It is difficult not to feel that the same level of consideration should be extended to patients when sig

I arrived today at 7:30 in the morning after strong pain due to a bicycle accident two days ago. I waited for approx 1 hour in a comfortable waiting area. After that I was admitted and treated very thoroughly by a kind medic, Mr. Franz and an equally caring doctor, Mr. Szymski. They communicated everything clearly to me and explained everything about the necessary procedures. I felt very safe and taken care of. I am glad for the decision to come to the Uni Klinikum. Thank you 🙏

This has been a terrible experience and I am ready to transfer somewhere else. I have been here since Monday to have surgery on my broken jaw, which still hasn't happened. Day one was 13 hours no food, then no surgery. Day two was 17 hours no food and still no surgery. Given oral medicine for pain that did nothing but upset my very empty stomach. When asked for pain meds through IV, they gave me Tylenol for a broken jaw. Was finally given an actual pain reliever around 10pm last night. This morning I woke up in so much pain and was told I have to wait due to shift change. There is so much more I could add to this experience this far. From the moment I went to register in the front, it has been one bad experience after another. My American health insurance is paying for this and they will definitely be hearing about how terribly they treat their American patients. I want someone from customer care to come talk to me!

This is a good hospital and the staff was really friendly. My reasons for 4 out of 5 are: - that the food is ok, but it can't compare with the Caritas Krankenhaus Josef's. - the way one of the doctors explained the possibility of having to go to the hospital again for another round of therapy. He stated "You better be ready to go back in the hospital for another round of therapy and / or operation. In case you don't have to you'll be happy...." This was lacking sensibility on the doctors side.
