The idea that anyone would give this less than 5 stars baffles me. I'm an American that married a woman from Regensburg. We ate here as a special treat to ourselves. It was a celebration of finally visiting her home town after Covid passed. We have never experienced a dinning experience quite like this. It was fantastic. So much so, that I am writing this review 2 years later. Still thinking of how welcoming and accommodating the staff were, despite my language barrier. How class this establishment was/is without being pretentious about it. They made us feel at home and served us some of the best food. Some super complex gastronomy and some of the simplest of foods masterfully done to celebrate the ingredients. The miso bread, the miso butter, and the Klotz wine were the best I've ever had in my life. My wife and I still dream of it... they celebrated food and gave us a memory. I hope to return one day.

When we were ushered into a nondescript building on the way to a tiny elevator that would open up at the restaurant we weren't quite sure what to expect. Certainly not stepping into an entirely different atmosphere with personable service and inventive culinary creations. Only one thing was annoying - the lighting fixtures were surprisingly dusty. I guess no one is looking up? But I really am struggling to find something negative to say. It was fun, unrushed, and all the dishes helped tell a comprehensive story. I would certainly go out of my way to dine here again.

Excellent appetizer and main course — beautifully balanced ingredients, soft and delicate textures, and very flavorful sauces. The lobster salad was a highlight; the small banana pieces added a subtle depth that enhanced the sauce in a clever way. The complimentary amuse-bouche was a bit underwhelming. All fried items could use more refinement and depth, and desserts were decent but not memorable. Looking forward to coming back when the new menu arrives!

Had a wonderful dinner at Storstad. The food was creative, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. The service was warm and professional, and the wine selection was truly outstanding – from the Mosel to Sicily, every glass was a perfect match. You can feel the passion and attention to detail in every part of the experience. Definitely a place I’d love to come back to.

Outstanding dining experience. If you find a reason to visit Regensburg, make sure to put Storstad on your list. This beautifully minimalistic Scandinavian designed restaurant provides you with a welcoming warm atmosphere and a splendid view on the roof terrace. The staff is super friendly and attentive. We enjoyed the 5-course dinner of highest quality and great flavors accompanied by a very interesting and complementing wine pairing which had a focus on French and German Whites. This was an evening we will definitely cherish in our memories. Thanks again to the well-rehearsed team at Storstad.
