About Sapori del Salento

Café and street Food Salento

Located at Weißenburger Pl. 6, 81667 München-Au-Haidhausen, Sapori del Salento operates as a café serving München in Bayern. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.

For a place to eat or drink in Germany, the questions that matter most are simple: is it open today (many restaurants keep a weekly Ruhetag), does it take reservations for dinner, and does the menu suit your group. Tipping is modest, rounding up or adding 5-10% when you pay, and while cards are accepted in most places, cash is still the safe choice at bakeries, Imbiss stands and beer gardens. Tap water is not served automatically, and bottles you take away carry a Pfand deposit.

Opening hours are published for 6 days a week. The most common schedule is 8 am–6 pm. Note that it does not open on Sunday. Hours in Germany do change around public holidays, and many businesses close for a day or two over Christmas and Easter, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Sapori del Salento on 089 92776322; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions, and many businesses also take enquiries and bookings by e-mail or WhatsApp. More information is available on its website, m.facebook.com.

Customers rate it 4.8 out of 5 on Google across 185 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded cafés & kaffee in München.

München is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. Getting around München is easiest by U-Bahn, S-Bahn, tram and bus, all covered by the Deutschlandticket that is valid on local and regional transport across Bayern and beyond; parking in city centres is scarce and either paid or limited by Parkscheibe, so public transport or a bike is usually quicker than driving.

Lovely, handmade pastries. Excellent espresso. Relaxing and quiet outdoor seating.

Lovely Italian coffee spot at Weißenburger Platz I stopped by Sapori del Salento spontaneously for a coffee in the sun and was really impressed. Great prices, excellent coffee, and very tasty tramezzini (the salmon one was especially good). They also offer nice juices, including the classic peach juice. The outdoor seating is colorful and right on Weißenburger Platz with a beautiful view of the flowers - no street in between, which makes it especially pleasant. Very dog-friendly as well - my two dogs were completely relaxed and welcome. Perfect for a quick coffee break or a longer, relaxed stop with friends. Highly recommended!

Good atmosphere in this coffee spot thanks to the tables inside under sunlight and with a fountain view. Lovely fountain water sound. I highly recommended their Espresso Affogato. They have also orange juice and some panini and large selection of savory for a quick bite.

Lovely coffee shop right in front of park with fountain. Had coffee with chocolate croissant. Great service … even took a “to go” cup of coffee.

Great coffee, many varieties (e.g. also iced espresso), and delicious Italian sweet pastries. The location is very cozy, especially in spring/summer with the flowers at the square in bloom.
