Eating out in Germany runs from a quick Döner at an Imbiss to a long evening in a Gasthaus, and a listing like this one is best judged on freshness, turnover and how consistent the reviews are rather than on decor. Lunch menus (Mittagstisch) are usually the best value, menu prices already include 19% VAT and service, and many kitchens close between lunch and dinner. Bakeries open early and are the one shop you can count on for a Sunday morning.
Opening hours are published for 7 days a week. On most of those days it is open 8 am–8 pm. Hours in Germany do change around public holidays, and many businesses close for a day or two over Christmas and Easter, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. No phone number is listed for this business, so the Google Maps link on this page is the best route for directions and any contact details Google has on file. Its website is kansocoffeelab.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.
Customers rate it 4.9 out of 5 on Google across 1,147 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded cafés & kaffee in München.
München is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. For directions in München, Google Maps and the DB Navigator app cover public transport times and walking routes, and most towns have well-marked cycle lanes. Local transport tickets must be bought or validated before boarding, and parking near busy streets is limited and metered.

One of the best coffees I had in Munich. The staff were very welcoming and attentive, and I really appreciated how they took the time to understand our flavor preferences and recommend the right coffee accordingly. The indoor seating is very limited, but thankfully they have a much more spacious outdoor seating area, which is really nice when the weather allows. Unfortunately, we didn’t get the chance to try any of the desserts as they were completely sold out by the time we visited. Overall, excellent specialty coffee, great recommendations, and lovely service. Definitely a place I’d come back to whenever I’m in Munich.

A beautiful coffee lab with excellent coffee and delicious small pastries. We visited twice during our stay in Munich. Depending on the time of day, it can get quite busy; it is also rather warm and a little noisy inside. Nevertheless, both the interior design and the quality and presentation of the coffee are truly unique. We bought two cups. When we asked whether any other colours were available, someone was contacted straight away by message. Within a few minutes, they brought over eight additional cups for us to choose from - a great and very straightforward service. We hope the cups will last us a long time, and we will definitely be back.

A fantastic café with a beautiful aesthetic and great attention to detail. The entire space feels thoughtfully designed, creating a stylish and welcoming atmosphere. The staff were friendly, efficient, and their distinctive dress code added to the overall character of the place. We tried the cold brew, and it was excellent—well-balanced, refreshing, and clearly prepared with care. Combined with the fast service and attractive setting, it made for a great experience. Highly recommended for anyone looking for quality coffee in a visually appealing environment. I would happily return on my next visit to Munich.

Kanso Coffee is exactly the kind of place Munich needs more of — a genuine artisan coffee shop with uncompromising quality, right in the city centre. Every cup reflects real craft and care, and in a city where this calibre of coffee shop is still uncommon, it feels almost precious. Savour it, and treasure it while you can. One small suggestion for the team: during peak hours, a dedicated express queue for takeaway orders would go a long way. For regulars rushing to work, the wait can feel long — a simple flow adjustment could make the morning ritual even smoother without taking anything away from the experience.

This tiny coffee spot tucked away near Marienplatz felt like such a lovely little find. It’s small, but that’s exactly what makes it special. The little outdoor yard in front, filled with plants and thoughtful decor, creates such a cozy, peaceful vibe. The coffee was genuinely excellent—smooth, rich, and made with really good beans. You can tell they care about quality. What made us love it even more was how incredibly welcoming the staff were. Overall, just one of those places that feels warm, charming, and easy to love. Great coffee, great vibe, and definitely somewhere I’d happily return to.
