Go for this place! The traditional Bavarian dishes were excellent – flavorful, generous portions, and prepared with real care. The atmosphere felt authentic and welcoming. A great experience overall. Thank you, Roko, for the friendly and attentive service!

We had a wonderful time here in Munich! We found this place online, but could’ve easily missed it since it’s down a little side street. It’s a must go! If you’re visiting Munich! We had the most delicious dessert after we had dinner somewhere else… Regrettably! Our waitress was so sweet and kind! I can’t remember her name, but she was blonde and super lighthearted and funny! She was able to speak some English with us and we were able to speak some German with her, what a pleasant evening! We recommend getting the Kaiserschmarn and asking to sit in the garden, it was a beautiful outside area!

We were looking for a nice schnitzel and oh boi did we find it. Arriving at the restaurant in a cozy little street, comfortably tucked away from the hustling and bustling of the old town, we found ourselves on the charming front terrace (there is a back garden which is also very nice). Our waiter Ladi made our day with his witty banter and fatherly recommendations. We had a great time. It's worth to make a reservation, but we were lucky to have gotten a table outside. We both had the Munich schnitzel marinated in horseradish and mustard, and it had a nice tangy twist to it which we both liked. Great big portion too! Because I said I like New England IPAs Ladi (after some well-deserved criticism of my beer preferences) recommended the cloudy Franziskaner Cellar beer which was refreshing and exceptionally good taste pairing with the food. All the staff had great vibes about them, felt like a true place of hospitality. 10/10 would recommend coming here for a authentic experience.

Service can start slow i believe they are just letting you settle in. We had the white sausage and pretzel excellent (local tip don’t order after lunch, tradition). We also shared the pork bleu their version of the cordon bleu it was excellent as well light just what we needed. Cold beer and wine to top it off and end the day. Outside was comfortable and inviting.

If you want an authentic taste of Munich, Zum Dürnbräu is a must-visit. We started with the beef steak, which was cooked to perfection, but the real stars were the pork dishes. The roasted pork was incredibly tender, and the Schweinshaxe (pork knuckle) was exactly what you hope for: a massive portion with skin so crispy it crackles, served with a delicious potato dumpling and rich gravy. It’s a cozy, traditional spot tucked away from the main tourist crowds. Excellent service and even better beer!
