Located at Thalkirchner Str. 2, 80337 München-Ludwigsvorstadt-Isarvorstadt, Restaurant Andy's Krablergarten operates as a deutsche serving München in Bayern. For a place to eat or drink in Germany, the questions that matter most are simple: is it open today (many restaurants keep a weekly Ruhetag), does it take reservations for dinner, and does the menu suit your group. Tipping is modest, rounding up or adding 5-10% when you pay, and while cards are accepted in most places, cash is still the safe choice at bakeries, Imbiss stands and beer gardens. Tap water is not served automatically, and bottles you take away carry a Pfand deposit.
Opening hours are published for 7 days a week. The most common schedule is 12–11 pm. Hours in Germany do change around public holidays, and many businesses close for a day or two over Christmas and Easter, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is 089 26019148. Calling ahead is the norm in Germany for reservations and for confirming that a small business is open that day; e-mail or WhatsApp is the common alternative if you would rather write than speak. More information is available on its website, andyskrablergarten.de.
Customers rate it 4.5 out of 5 on Google across 7,924 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded deutsche & regionale küche in München.
München is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. German addresses put the street name before the house number, followed by the five-digit postcode and the town, as in "Marienplatz 8, 80331 München". The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

You simply have to visit this place, although it can sometimes be completely full because it is extremely popular. The portions are enormous—for someone with a normal appetite, half a schnitzel is more than enough, so one portion can easily be shared between two people. The waiter was exceptionally friendly and attentive, so don’t forget to leave him a well-deserved tip when paying. Overall, I highly recommend this place!

We visited this restaurant following a recommendation, and it certainly lived up to the praise. The food was exceptional, with what was arguably the second-best schnitzel I have ever had. The quality of the ingredients and the preparation were outstanding, and it is a place I would happily return to. The portions are remarkably generous, so I would recommend ordering with caution. In hindsight, one schnitzel would have comfortably served two people. If you are still hungry afterwards, additional dishes can be ordered without concern, as the service is exceptionally efficient and the food arrives remarkably quickly. The only reason I have awarded four rather than five stars is the atmosphere. The dining room is very basic, with little character or ambience, and lacks the charm that would complement such excellent cuisine. While this did not detract from the quality of the meal, it prevented the overall experience from feeling truly memorable. If your priority is outstanding schnitzel rather than stylish surroundings, this restaurant is an excellent choice and one I would strongly recommend!

We ordered two schnitzels, one turkey and one pork, both served with potatoes. In my opinion, the portions were very large and the food was delicious. I personally thought the turkey schnitzel tasted even better.

By far the best schnitzel I’ve ever had! I ordered the schnitzel with a sweet mustard and horseradish breading and it was absolutely delicious. And when the food came out, it could hardly fit on the plate - I had a hard time finishing it. And the beer paired with it was great. And the prices were good on top of that. We dined for dinner on a weekday with no reservation, however, I can see this place being absolutely packed on the weekends. The servers were nice and made us feel welcomed. If I had more time in Munich, I’d absolutely come back again.

I tried the schnitzel with pepper sauce and mushroom sauce, and it was a great experience. First of all, the size of the schnitzel is huge. For my appetite, one portion could easily be shared between two people. For €19, you actually get two large pieces of schnitzel along with a side of pommes (fries) or potato salad, which makes it very good value for the price. The schnitzel itself was very tasty, fresh, and perfectly cooked with a crispy coating. Both the pepper sauce and the mushroom sauce complemented the dish very well and added extra flavor. Considering the portion size, quality, and taste, it is definitely worth the money. One thing to keep in mind is that the place is very popular, so you should expect to wait in a long queue before getting inside. We had to stand for almost half an hour before getting a table. However, once you taste the food, the wait feels worth it. Overall, if you are looking for a large, delicious schnitzel at a reasonable price, this place is definitely worth visiting.
