Rathausplatz is the main square in Augsburg’s city center, right in front of the Town Hall. It’s a wide open area full of people, cafés and movement, and it gives a great first impression of the city. Around the square you see important landmarks like the Renaissance Town Hall, the tall Perlach Tower, and the Augustus Fountain with figures representing the local rivers. It’s a lively place to walk, sit, and enjoy the atmosphere of Augsburg.

I can feel Mother Mary presence there. Such a holy place! Must visit. Daily 9am Mass will be there.

This is the circular cobblestone square just across the street from Rathaus in Old Town. This is bustling square with numerous eateries with outdoor seating and open space used for events and festivals like the annual Christmas Market. Rathausplatz is also where you find several interesting sightseeing attractions including the Renaissance Town Hall, the Romanesque St. Peters am Perlach church along with the landmark 70-metre tall tower and the impressive August Fountain. The square is lined with beautiful buildings, you'll find the Tourist Information office for Augsburg here as well.
