Passau is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. Getting around Passau is easiest by U-Bahn, S-Bahn, tram and bus, all covered by the Deutschlandticket that is valid on local and regional transport across Bayern and beyond; parking in city centres is scarce and either paid or limited by Parkscheibe, so public transport or a bike is usually quicker than driving.

Nice, Clean and Quiet Bed and Breakfast place! Highly recommend. Its located in a neighborhood so you won't hear any city noise. It was very relaxing and the rooms are very big and spacious. Parking outside is on the street and although there isn't a lot of parking spots on the street, we never had an issue finding a place for our car. The breakfast is simple, but fresh rolls, cold cuts, cheese and hot coffee were a great breakfast each morning. The owner and staff are very friendly! I don't know how much English is spoken since my husband speaks German, but I'm sure you can make due these days with google translate.
